Maiwut State

Maiwut State was one of the few short-lived states, established on 14 January 2017. Presidential decree disestablished the state on 22 February 2020. Its flag was a green field with the state emblem over the center.

Emblem

This state emblem also appears to be unique. The emblem was a shield with two crossed spears behind it (Upper Nile regional symbol), with an inner circle. The inner circle depicts a cob of corn as a basic food of the people, surrounded by a wreath for peace. In the background are mountains. Below, the spears carry a white ribbon which reads Maiwut State.
