Regional Overview

1966: Bas-Saint-Laurent/Gasp�sie Administrative Region is created.
1987: The region is split into two: Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gasp�sie/�les-de-la-Madeleine.

  In the June 1999 issue of Rencontre (21:1, p. 5), there is a white flag with a red and blue logo behind Linda Jean Simon, chief of the Gespeg Mi'kmaq.

Unidentified flag in Gasp�sie

Here is a most interesting flag and may I add very beautiful flag. It was spotted by Donald Gauthier and we think it's from the Gasp�sie/Iles-de-la-Madeleine administrative region of Quebec. Anyway, Donald is pursuing his researches, meanwhile if any of you has a clue about this Unidentified Flag or Ensign (UFE), we will appreciate any contribution.
