Modeled on the state flag is that of Miami-Dade County (formerly simply Dade County). Note the saltire is of two colors: despite the poor lighting of the image (the sun was not out), the "bend dexter" limb of the saltire is green, not blue. The "bend sinister" limb is a lighter green. Nice effect, actually.

The flag of the Miami-Dade County Police Department features a white field
with a lime green stripe running diagonally from the upper left corner to the
bottom right corner. Positioned in the upper section of the flag, the
inscription ''MIAMI-DADE'' is emblazoned in a brown serif font. In the middle,
the department's patch and badge overlap each other, with the badge being placed
on top of the patch, placed on its right side. The lower section of the flag
displays the word ''POLICE'', also emblazoned in a brown serif font.

According to a video posted by the Wolfson Archives, the original flag of
Miami-Dade County (then known simply as Dade County) was adopted in 1951 or 1952. It consisted of a blue field with the pre-1957 seal emblazoned in the
middle. This flag would later be relinquished following the installment of a
Metropolitan Government within Dade County in 1957, which later adopted a new
flag similar to the current one sometime afterwards.
