Description of the flag

Oak Shores is an unincorporated lakeside community and census-designated place located in northern San Luis Obispo County on Lake Nacimiento.

The flag was unveiled in January of 2025, and were designed by local Rod Olguin. It was the result of a flag contest held in late 2024 by the Oak Shores Property Owners Association. The flag is a beige field with a depiction of Lake Nacimiento, also known as Dragon Lake due to it's shape. On the left side of the lake is an oak tree, which the community is named after, along with it being on the shores of the lake. The tree marks the community's location on the lake. Behind the tree is the sun with five orange rays emanating from it. On the right side of the lake is the community name in orange.
