Coat of arms of Turnišče - Image by Željko Heimer, 15 June 2006
The coat of arms of Turnišče is prescribed by Decision Odlok o grbu Občina Turnišče, adopted by the Municipal Council on 19 October 1998, but seemingly never published in the Slovene official gazette.
The Decision prescribes the coat of arms but does not describe it; a drawing is supposed to be attached to the Decision.
The coat of arms is described by Stanič & Jakopič [j2s05] as follows:
The coat of arms is in the shape of a medieval shield. In the middle is a stylized Gothic window with openings, symbolizing the Romanesque church of Mary. Beneath are two wheat ears, symbolizing the link with the earth and with the bread as the symbol of wealth. In the base of the coat of arms are golden symbols of guilds:
- a pair of scissor,s representing tailors;
- a hide, representing shoemakers;
- a horseshoe, reprsenting smiths.

A video-taped interview of the Mayor of Turnišče shows a table flag, white with the municipal coat of arms surmounted by the green writing "Občina Turnišče".
The amended municipal statutes say that the municipality shall have a flag and a coat of arms to be prescribed by a specific decision.
