Presentation of the Forestry School

Шумарска школа" (English: Shumarska school) (Lyceum, high school) traces its origin back to 1853 when Aleksa Stojaković organized a forest guard course which ceased to exist in 1859. It was also a kindergarten and a technical school. Then, on October 10, 1872 the "Zemljodelska šumarska škola" (English: Agricultural forestry school) was established in Požarevac until it was shut down in 1883. Later on, the current school was formally established on October 10, 1899 based on "člana 25 Zakona o šumama i rješenjem br.15262" (English: Article 25 of the Law on Forests and (Presidential) Decision No. 15262).

Flag of the Forestry School

The flag is a horizontal green background with the logo in the middle and below, the inscription ШУМАРСКА ШКОЛА (the name of the school) and below that, КРАЉЕВО - СРБИЈА (the city and country of origin).
