Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a well Argent pouring water of the same, flanked by two crossbows Or in pale, on central chief point a fleur-de-lis Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "RANHADOS – VISEU".
Meaning:
The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of St. Mary, as Our Lady of the Ear being the local patron saint.

Ranhados is one of the 18 communes of Viseu Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 5891 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 6,58 km².
