Shield Azure a band-stand Argent and a wayside cross Or in fess, issuant from flanches and from base wavy Argent, charged with a bar gemel wavy Azure, a three arch bridge Argent masoned Sable.
Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE ALGÉS, LINDA-A-VELHA E CRUZ QUEBRADA-DAFUNDO".
Meaning:
The band-stand is taken from the arms of Queijasc, the almost canting cross from those of Cruz Quebrada, and the bridge (and also the cross) from Algés.
The inclusion of the band-stand in the arms, depicted in faithful detail goes directly against §10d) of Law 53/91, issued on 7 August 1991.
