John Moody, 7 April 2025

Decree 66-109, published on 11 December 2024 and put into law through the Official State Newspaper Evening Edition No. 149 the same day, called for the updating of Article 2, regarding the State Coat of Arms. As seen below, Article 3 of the Law on the Coat of Arms and Anthem of Tamaulipas calls for a white flag, of a ratio between width and length of 4 to 7, having in its center the State Coat of Arms in "flag mode". Officially, the State Flag is only another representation of the State Coat of Arms and not a unique symbol; but it is still an official state symbol. Article 3 remains unchanged, but due to the coat of arms changing the flag has also changed.
