The city flag and the city emblem was adopted on Sep 1st 1954 by Notice No 3.
The green flag has white city emblem in the center and the flag proportion is
2:3. The emblem is composed of stylized Katakana Ka カ and Tsu ツ and Chinese
character Yama 山. The round shape stands for harmonization and triangles for
stability. The combination symbolizes city’s future development.
