The flag of Pays de Dol, designed by Yoran Delacour in 1996 and approved by the Breton Vexillological Society, is quartered white-red with three black ermine spots (2 + 1) in each white quarter.
The flag combines elements of the old (1173) and newer coats of arms of the Archbishopric of Dol; the first arms, red with lozenges ermine, were subsequently superseded by arms quartered argent and gules (white and red), similar to the arms of the town of Combourg. The ermines recal the arms and flag of the town of Dol.
In Ar Banniel [arb] #2 (Spring 1997), Philippe Rault reports the use in some cultural events of a simplified variant of the flag, without the ermine spots in the white quarters.
