The Communauté d'agglomération du Cotentin (129 municipalities; 180,794 inhabitants in 2016; 143,940 ha) was created in January 2017 as the merger of the Communautés de communes de Douve et Divette, des Pieux, de la Côte des Isles, de la Vallée de l'Ouve, du Cœur du Cotentin, de la région de Montebourg, du Val de Saire, de Saint-Pierre-Église and de la Saire, and of the two new municipalities, Cherbourg-en-Cotentin and La Hague, created by the merger of the municipalities of the former Communauté urbaine de Cherbourg and of the former Communauté de communes de la Hague, respectively.

The Communauté
d'agglomération du Mont-Saint-Michel covers the
southern part of the Manche department, in the Normandy region. It was
created in 2017 with the merger of 5 former Communanutés de communes:
CC of Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët, CC of Saint-James, CC Avranches -
Mont-Saint-Michel, CC of Val de Sée and CC of Mortainais. Its area
is 1,543.9 km2. Its population was 87,417 in 2021.

Saint-Lô Agglo (61 municipalities; 75,956 inhabitants in 2016; 81,990 ha) was created on 1 January 2014 as the merger of the former Communauté de communes de Marigny, du canton de Tessy-sur-Vire, du canton de Torigni-sur-Vire, de l'Elle, and de la région de Daye, and of the former Communauté d'agglomération Saint-Lô Agglomération (created in 2011 to replace the Communauté de communes de l'agglomération saint-loise). In 2017, the municipality of the former Communauté de communes de Canisy joined aint-Lô Agglo.

Granville, Terre et Mer (32 municipalities; 44,464 inhabitants in 2016; 28,280 ha) is composed of the municipalities of Granville (seat), Anctoville-sur-Boscq, Beauchamps, Bréhal, Bréville-sur-Mer, Bricqueville-sur-Mer, Carolles, Cérences, Champeaux, Chanteloup, Coudeville-sur-Mer, Donville-les-Bains, Équilly, Folligny, La Haye-Pesnel, Hocquigny, Hudimesnil, Jullouville, Longueville, Le Loreur, La Lucerne-d'Outremer, Le Mesnil-Aubert, La Meurdraquière, La Mouche, Muneville-sur-Mer, Saint-Aubin-des-Préaux, Saint-Jean-des-Champs, Saint-Pair-sur-Mer, Saint-Pierre-Langers, Saint-Planchers, Saint-Sauveur-la-Pommeraye, and Yquelon. It was created in January 2014, as the merger of the former Communauté de communes des Delles, entre Plage et Bocage, Pays granvillais, and Pays hayland (except Champcervon, La Rochelle-Normande, Le Luot, Le Tanu, Sainte-Pience et Subligny), and with the municipalities of Carolles, Champeaux, and Saint-Pierre-Langers.

Communauté de communes du Pays granvillais

The Communauté de communes du Pays granvillais (25,888 inhabitants in 2012; 7,344 ha) was created in January 1997 by the municipalities of Donville-les-Bains, Granville, Saint-Pair-sur-Mer and Saint-Planchers, which were joined by Jullouville in 2001 and by Anctoville-sur-Boscq, Saint-Aubin-des-Préaux and Yquelon in 2002.
