"Well, obviously, there are a lot of raw feelings on both sides of the issue, so what I would do is cut the Confederate flag and the American flag in half, and sew a new flag from half of each. I might not make much sense from a design standpoint, bit I think it solves the problem of honoring both those who fell in battle defending a controversial labor practice and those who didn't.
