On the blue upper half of the shield, divided horizontally, is a golden sun; on the golden lower half, a blue pile. The colors and figures of the Narva-Jõesuu coat of arms symbolize the town's historical and geographical connection to the city of Narva and its location at the mouth of the Narva River, as well as Narva-Jõesuu's established reputation as a summer resort and health destination and the associated hopes for the future. In 2017, a merger with the Municipality of Vaivara took place; the new Municipality of Narva-Jõesuu retained its old flag but adopted the coat of arms of the now-former Municipality of Vaivara.Tomislav Šipek, 29 September 2026
