Regatta clubs have only one purpose. They organise boat races. The range of a regatta club differs from a state, a region, one or more rivers down to a single location.
Their members are local rowing clubs. Sometimes the regional organisation (Landesruderverband) organises races instead. Here only "pure" regatta clubs are listed.

The current flag (see left image above) is white with yellow edges at top and bottom.
Shifted to hoist is a blue inscription "ERRV" with full name insmaller black letters below.
Alongside the "V" is a half yellow rowing boat with two oars.
The former flag (see right image above) was white with blue edges at top and bottom.
On centre was a yellow disc with blue edge, having a yellow circumscription: "ESSENER RUDER REGATTA VEREIN e.V.".
The whole composition is shaped like a 7-spokes wheel. The nave is a small blue inscription "ER"(1st line),"RV"(2nd line).
The spokes are blue blades with the pattern of the seven rowing clubs, being memberrs of this regattaclub.

Actually it is no typical regatta club, as its purpose is the promotion of cruising, not racing.
It was a red pennant with black stripes fimbriated white issuant from every corner.
On their meeting point on a white disc cotized black-white-black was the red eagle of Brandenburg.
