Shield parted per fess of Argent and Gules; in chief a demi eagle issuant Gules armed Or the wings charged with cloverstems Or; in base two bars wavy Gules charged with two boat hooks Or in saltire over a 6-point star Or.
Meaning:
The eagle is representing Brandenburg and the municipalities belonging to the former counties of Ober- and Nieder Barnim and Strausberg. The bars wavy are representing the name giving Oder River. Hook and star are representing the municipalities of the former counties of Lebus and Seelow.

Meaning:
The county was established in 1952 from the eastern parts of former Oberbarnim County.The county chose the former arms from 1929 of Oberbarnim County and adopted them in 1990.
