Coat of arms

Shield Or two agricultural tools Argent hafted Gules in saltire, below a bee hive Gules, above a heraldic rose Gules seeded and barbed Or, chief Gules five grain ears Or in fan.
Meaning:
According to source the rose is symbolising the former rulers, the Princes of Lippe. Bee hive, tools and grain are symbolising the agricultural productions during 18th century, when the settlement was established in the sandy wasteland of Senne. The arms were approved on 25 October 1951 by Minister of Interior of Nordrhein-Westfalen. The colours of the flag are those of Lippe County.
