The parish flag of Saint-Gédéon-de-Beauce bears the emblems and colours representing its community. The yellow maple leaf on a green field shows our deep belonging to Beauce, country of maple. The center of the flag is made of a white trapezoid bordered in red, as a reference to a boiler (chaudiere), name of the main river of our region. The trapezoid also represents the strategic location of our parish, which was the last to be established along the Chaudiere river. This new parish was added as the keystone able to strengthen a whole. The three blue waves in the center of the trapezoid represent the waters of the three most important rivers in our area, Chaudiere, Samson and Du Loup. The torch and the trumpet are the distinctive attributes of Saint Gedeon, our patron saint.

There are two adjacent municipalities of Saint-Gédéon-de-Beauce, a village and a parish, although the former is officially known only as a municipality. What is confusing is that the parish's official name is only Saint-Gédéon. however, it is not uncommon when a village and an adjacent parish share the same name that they are distinguished officially by adding the name of the region (in this case Beauce) to the name of one of them (in addition to the parish/village designations), but that in practice everyone refers to them both with the same name.
