About the village:
"Incorporated in 1955, the Village
of Lumby is a municipality governed under the provisions of the Local Government
Act. The population is represented by a Mayor and four Councillors, all elected
for a three year term. The Council serves a population of 1,681 residents within
the corporate boundaries of the Village. Lumby is the service centre for a rural
population of approximately 4,500 persons living in the North Okanagan Regional

The logo shows local landscape with black line drawn and simple color solid
filled mountains, road, lake, corn field, corn stalks, sky, firs and sunset, in
white, green and light blue, as well as the wordings "Lumby" , "Gateway to the
Monashee", and "Simply the Best".
