About the Flag

The municipality of Santa Izabel do Oeste (14,521 inhabitants in 2018; 32,117 ha) is located 500 km south-west of Curitiba.

The flag of Santa Izabel do Oeste is prescribed by Municipal Law No. 184 promulgated on 6 August 1985.

Article 1.
The municipal flag of Santa Izabel do Oeste is designed as follows.
- Upper blue part, meaning the blue sky, the blue circle representing the planalto.
- Green, in the lower part, representing agriculture in general.
- Points of the star, representing the districts and the seat of the municipality. The yellow points represent the municipality's resources, the white ones peace, and the green ones hope.

Article 1.
The coat of arms of the municipality of Santa Izabel do Oeste is designed as follows.
c) The coat of arms is composed of:
- a Brazilian pine representing the municipality's rainforest.
- wheat, maize and yerba mate plants representing agricultural resources.
- pig breeding, which contributes to the municipal income.
- industry, which enters development process in Santa Izabel do Oeste through the establishment of different production units.
- the blue sky.
- a sun representing natural shine.
- a scroll inscribed with the name of Santa Izabel do Oeste.
