About the Flag of Macaparana

The flag was designed by Professor Ana Maria Gomes Pedrosa and officially adopted by law no. 214 [no date given]. It is divided into four quarters, blue and white, and has on the center an oval crossed by a stripe with the name of the municipality. Above the stripe is a house in the Bangüê style (an Indian tribe, I assume) and below it four stars that represent the city of Macaparana and the villages of Aburá, Pirauá e Nova Esperança. Around the oval are two stalks of sugar cane.
